ALKEN® PDE 901 is a scientifically balanced
blend of polymers and other ingredients designed for treating residual fuel
and crude oil to allow trouble-free winter operation. ALKEN® PDE 901
is a more efficient means of improving low temperature handling than heating
the fuel or use of cutter stocks. ALKEN® PDE 901 modifies the crystal structure of fuel wax, lowering the pour point, improving pumpability, and enhancing low-temperature filterability to permit satisfactory operation at temperatures significantly below the cloud point of the fuel. |
|
ALKEN® PDE 901 must be uniformly blended with the residual fuel or crude oil before wax begins to crystallize -- the fuel temperature must be above the cloud point of the fuel/oil when applied. Blending can be accomplished by adding ALKEN® PDE 901 to the storage tank before adding fuel, by means of circulating pumps, if available, or proportional metering pumps. The required dosage of ALKEN® PDE 901 may range from 1 gallon per 500 gallons of fuel for low-wax fuels at moderately low temperatures to as high as 1 gallon per 167 gallons of fuel for high-wax fuels at very low temperatures. |
ALKEN® PDE 901 contains petroleum distillates.
Low flash point - use caution in handling this product. Avoid skin contact
and breathing of vapors while handling. Store at moderate temperatures away
from flame or other sources of ignition. The concentrated product may gel
if stored at temperatures below 10 F. If gelling occurs it can be corrected
by moving the drum into a warmer area until the product re-liquefies. For transportation: This product is labeled as COMBUSTIBLE - flash point of 38 C (100.5 F). |
ALKEN® PDE 901 is available in 5-gallon steel pails or 55-gallon drums, conforming to Performance Oriented Packaging Specifications. Flame arrestor required in storage tanks. Minimum order is 5 x 5 gallon pails or 1 x 55 gallon drum. Update: 03-10-2007 |
