DESCRIPTION: ALKEN® SOLUTIONS A4040L is a white water-oil emulsion, anionic polyacrylamide, of high molecular weight and medium density charge. Alken® Solutions A4040L draws pin floc into a more stable floc for easier filtration and is particularly useful in petroleum wastewaters. Performs best in a pH range of 7.0 - 9.0, although performance is possible within the range of 6 - 13. CHARACTERISTICS: |

ADVANTAGES:
DOSAGE: Because of the diverse nature of the applications for ALKEN® SOLUTIONS A4040L, the required dosage may be as low as 0.1 ppm or as high as 200 ppm. It is necessary, therefore, to determine the appropriate dosage level by means of laboratory "jar tests". PACKAGING and HANDLING: ALKEN® SOLUTIONS A4040L is generally packaged in 55-gallon steel (or fiberglass) drums (500 lbs, net) which conform to Performance Oriented Packaging Specifications. A 275 gallon tote bin, weighing 2290 lbs is also available. This product should not be used until a Material Safety Data Sheet has been reviewed by supervisory and operating personnel. Gloves, aprons, and safety glasses are recommended when working with this product. Store in a clean, dry area. Avoid contact with organic materials, concentrated acids, and highly alkaline materials. Keep containers closed when not in use and discard when empty. Protect from frost and do not store above 85 deg. F for long periods of time.
