Product will float and can be reignited on surface of water. Special Fire-Fighting Information: When entering confined space, wear positive pressure NIOSH-approved SCNA, full bunker gear (helmet with face shield, bunker coats, gloves and rubber boots) Use water spray to cool containers, to prevent weakening of container structure or buildup of vapor pressure which could result in container rupture. Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazards: Vapors are heavier than air and may travel along the ground. |
Caution - combustible. Eliminate potential sources of ignition. Wear Appropriate respirator and other protective clothing. Contain spill. Remove with vacuum trucks or pump to storage/slavage vessels. Soak up residue with an absorbent such as clay, sand, or other suitable material; place in non-leaking containers and seal tightly for proper disposal. Flush area with water to remove trace residue dispose of flush solution as above. For Small Spills: Take up with an absorbent material and place in a non-leaking container for proper disposal. |
Store in cool dry place. Keep container closed when not in use. |

discarded): Neat,
unused product is not considered a hazardous waste, according to RCRA regulations
40 CFR 261. For proper disposal of used materials, an assessment must be
completed to determine the proper waste management options permissible under
applicable rules, regulations and/or laws governing client's location.
Use until less than 1 inch remains in the container. Use diluted ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 5100 to bioremediate
residual petroleum compounds in product, then triple rinse with clean water,
and pour rinse water to sewer. Then remove or deface product label to avoid
confusion if pail or drum is later refilled. Clean, empty containers should
be recycled or disposed of through an approved waste management facility. |
