ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 1006 is a dry, synergistic blend of natural bacteria specifically designed to enhance immune response of cultured species while eliminating specific pollutants that are known to negatively impact the health of farmed species, making them vulnerable to diseases, including Vibrio harveyi. CF 1006 thoroughly cleans the water of residual feed and feces, while participating in the natural carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus and sulfur cycles to enhance water quality for the farmed species. .ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 1006 uses a non-pathogenic consortium of six gram-positive spore-forming Bacillus and ten gram-negative vegetative strains to aggressively consume a broad spectrum of pollutants, including surfactants, food fats and oils, sugars, starch, and nominal amounts of pesticides and hydrocarbons, while eliminating the formation of hydrogen sulfide and removing nitrate from the system as nitrogen gas. ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 1006 offers enhanced adaptation to cold water and will work equally well in fresh and salt water. ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 1006 has been proven safe in the field around the world for farming of shrimp, lobsters, Koi, prawns, aquarium species, Atlantic Salmon and Halibut. |

See Aquaculture/Lake/Pond dosage charts for appplication rates for decorative or recreational ponds and lakes (use chart for CF 1003 - 1008) . Be aware that a heavy rainfall may bring significant contamination with its runoff, and a one-time dosage equal to the initial application may be needed to restore control. Mechanical aeration may be needed where natural aeration is deficient. To seed small grow-out tanks or large aquariums, apply 18 to 20 grams per 1000 gallons (3785 L) of water the first week. Apply 9 to 10 grams weekly for the balance of one month. If you are treating an aquaculture tank, then continue with this product at 4 to 5 grams a week. For shrimp & prawn aquaculture, apply starting with the second column of the dosage chart (50% of listed first dose), in order to leave enough nutrients in the water to provide proper balance for the survival of microalgae, also known as "green water" or "lab-lab" in the Asian aquaculture industry. Monitor water quality and increase dosage, if needed, as larvae grow, so that harmonious balance and good health is always maintained. For optimum bacterial performance, hydrate ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 1006 before application in the evening. Thoroughly mix each pound of dry product with two gallons of warm (approx.70 deg.F) water from the waterbody to be treated. Allow the mixture to hydrate for two hours, stirring vigorously every ½ hour. After final settling, carefully pour off the top liquid layer for use, squeeze all liquid from the bran that has settled into the liquid and dispose of the remaining bran. Avoid use of algaecides, herbicides, and antibiotics when using ALKEN CLEAR-FLO®. See Laurence Evans' hatchery dosage chart for a healthy shrimp farm |
